#7 Hacienda

Hacienda is the seventh in the Village Home series of designs sponsored by The Stitchers' Village.  Intended to be a personal glimpse into the home of each designer or give an element or essence of what their home would represent in the Village.  These are accompanied by an artist statement from the designer.  Meg Puente of Lindsay Lane Designs says: 
“My village home would be sitting on the patio of my hacienda enjoying the company of friends, good food and the sound of water from a fountain.”

#6 Kind Deeds

Kind Deeds is the sixth in the Village Home series of designs sponsored by The Stitchers' Village.  Intended to be a personal glimpse into the home of each designer or give an element or essence of what their home would represent in the Village.  These are accompanied by an artist statement from the designer.  Diane Graebner of Lynn's Prints says:  "My Village Home would promote kind deeds which are the essence of Amish life.  These folk have become a part of my daily life here, in Ohio."

January Stitching

I hope that I was one of the few who came down with the flu over the holidays.  I was in bed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and the energy took quite some time to return.  Fortunately, stitching does not take a lot of energy, but it does take some concentration.  I have been catching up on my stitching of three of the Village Home series models.  "Kind Deeds" for February.  "Hacienda" for March, and "Happy House" for April.  I have the chart for "Country Village Home" for May but have not pulled the threads and fabric and WILL NOT (even though I love a good start) until I have these three framed.  Back to stitching!

"By The Sea" is the fifth in the Village Home series of designs sponsored by The Stitchers' Village.  Intended to be a personal glimpse into the home of each designer or give an element or essence of what their home would represent in the Village.  These are accompanied by an artist statement from the designer.  Erik Shipley of Ship's Manor says, simply:  "My Village Home would be by the sea!
